Due to lack of hydration and moisturisation, our skin becomes dull and dry.
Hence, having a good moisturizer is a must during winters.

This moisturizer is called the almond and avocado moisturizer and it is very easy to make.
For this, you will need-

  • 1 tablespoon of avocado oil
  • 2 tablespoons of almond oil
  • 2 teaspoon of beeswax
  • 5-6 drops of lavender essential oil
  • 5-6 drops of rose hip essential oil
  • 3 tablespoons of mineral water and
  • 1 drop of peppermint essential oil

Put the beeswax in a double boiler and mel it.
Now, turn off the boiler and add avocado oil to it.
Then, add almond oil to it and mix them together properly.
Again, put the boiler on heat and add drops of lavender essential oil and rose hip essential oil to it.
Add the mineral water in another bowl and put it on heat.
Make sure the water does not boil, turn off the gas when it is lukewarm.
Now, add the lukewarm water to the boiler which contains beeswax and the oils.
Do not add the water all at once, make sure you dot it slowly.
Keep steering the mixture.
Now, turn off the heat and add a drop of peppermint essential oil to this mixture.
Wait till the mixture cools down. It usually takes an hour to cool down completely.

And voila your moisturizer is ready!

Now, scoop out the moisturiser and store it in a glass jar.

Apply this moisturiser twice every day for a bright, hydrated and glowing skin.
This moisturizer can be stored for a month.

Avocado oil contains vitamin A, C, D etc. which help in moisturising the skin.
It hydrates the skin and treats chapped or dry areas on your face.
Avocado oil is also useful in the treatment of irritated or red skin.

Almond oil contains vitamin E which helps in protecting the skin from the damage of harmful UV rays.
It contains omega 3 fatty acids which help in the prevention of premature ageing.
It increases the blood circulation and makes your skin look flawless and bright.

Beeswax has anti bacterial properties, thus it prevents acne and skin irritation.
It nourishes the skin from deep within and moisturises it well.
It stimulates the production of new cells and hence rejuvenates the skin.

Lavender essential oil has anti septic and anti bacterial properties.
And, also it adds a natural fragrance to the moisturizer.

Rose hip oil makes you look younger by treating the signs of ageing like fine lines and wrinkles.
It helps in the reduction of hyper pigmentation and makes your skin glow.
It brightens up the skin and makes it glow.

Mineral water was used to make the moisturizer consistent enough for application.
Peppermint oil has cooling properties which freshens up your face and keeps you awake for the whole day.
