Homemade Serum That You Must Try To Keep Your Skin Hydrated In Winters

Taking care of your skin has become very important these days because of the increasing pollution.
And since winters have officially come, our skin needs extra hydration and moisturisation as well.
Serum is the best way to moisturise and cure our skin from the external damage.
So, in this video we are going to learn how to make serum at home for both oily and dry skin.

First, let’s learn how to make serum for oily skin type.

For this you’ll need-

  • 2 tablespoon of jojoba oil
  • 1 tablespoon of grapeseed oil
  • 5 drops of sandalwood essential oil
  • 5 drops of rosemary essential oil
  • 5 drops of peppermint essential oil and
  • an empty dropper bottle

In the empty dropper bottle, add jojoba oil and grapeseed oil.
Shake the bottle well to mix both the ingredients.
Then, add sandalwood essential oil and rosemary essential oil to it.
Now, add peppermint essential oil to the bottle.
Make sure to do a patch test before adding peppermint oil to it.
Mix all the ingredients together.
And your serum is ready!
Apply it twice a day for best results.
Apply it once in the morning and then at night before going to the bed.
Once you are done washing your face, apply this serum on your face and massage it gently using the tips of your fingers.
Do not rinse the serum and don’t apply anything afterwards.

Jojoba oil is the best carrier oil for oily skin type as it maintains the hydration level of oily skin type.

Grapeseed oil has anti bacterial and anti inflammatory properties, thus it helps in curing and preventing acne.

Sandalwood oil calms down the skin and adds a special glow on your face.
Also, it provides even skin tone by treating pigmentation.

Rosemary oil improves the blood circulation, thus provides clear and glowy skin.

Peppermint oil acts as a cooling agent. It helps in calming down the skin and prevents acne.

Now, let’s see how serum can be prepared for dry skin.

For this you’ll need-

2 tablespoons of rose hip seed oil
5 drops of rose essential oil
5 drops of jasmine essential oil
5 drops of geranium essential oil and
an empty dropper bottle

In the empty dropper bottle, add rose hip seed oil and rose essential oil.
Then, add jasmine essential oil and geranium essential oil to it.
Shake the bottle well to mix all the ingredients.
And your serum is ready!
Apply this serum twice a day for best results.
Once you are done washing your face, apply this serum on your face and massage it gently with the help of your fingertips.
Do not rinse the serum and don’t apply anything afterwards.

Rose hip seed oil has vitamin C which helps in treating hyper pigmentation and moisturises the skin from deep within.

Rose essential oil hydrates the skin, fades away dark spots and fights signs of ageing.

Jasmine essential oil tightens the open skin pores and adds glow to your face.

Geranium essential oil rejuvenates the skin by removing dead skin cells.
